Cookie policy
Last updated 18 October 2026
GTO Reps sets no cookies. It does keep a few things in your browser’s own storage so the trainer works, and this page lists them.
Cookies
We set none: no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, and none of our own. That is why this site shows no cookie banner.
Visits are counted by Cloudflare Web Analytics and by our own counter. Neither uses cookies or stores anything on your device. The privacy policy says what they record.
Another company’s cookie can come up in one case:
- Our database provider’s servers sit behind Cloudflare, which may send a short-lived security cookie (
__cf_bm) that tells people from bots. The app does not read it or use it.
What the trainer keeps on your device
These sit in your browser’s storage for this site. They stay on your device unless you sign in; then your progress and settings are also saved to your account, as the privacy policy describes.
Your progress
Each answer you give, the review schedule built from them, your session history and, when you are signed in, a copy of your account’s statistics.
Kept until you reset it or clear the site's data
Your settings
How answers are judged, which hands get dealt, your layout choices, the hints you have dismissed, and the tab and game you were last on.
Kept until you clear the site's data
Your sign-in
If you sign in, a token that keeps you signed in on this device.
Kept until you sign out
Account charts
Chart sets that belong to your account, if it has any, so they open without a connection.
Kept until you sign out
A device name
A label such as “iPhone Safari”, so your history can show which device a session was on.
Kept until you clear the site's data
The app itself
The app’s files and the chart sets you have opened, so it starts without a connection; and a marker, gone when you close the tab, that stops an update from reloading the page twice.
Kept until a newer version replaces it or you clear the site's data
Why you are not asked for consent
Everything above is needed to do what you ask of the app: keep your progress, keep you signed in, and work offline. EU rules on cookies and similar storage ask for consent only for storage that is not needed in that way; for the rest they ask that you are told, which is what this page is for. If we ever add advertising, or analytics that keep something on your device, we will ask first.
Clearing it
- Resetting your progress in the app removes your answers and history from this device.
- Signing out removes the sign-in token and any account charts.
- Your browser’s option to clear a site’s data removes all of it, the offline copy of the app included.
Clearing your device does not delete an account. The privacy policy says how to do that.
